5) YouTube API Services — disclosures & commitments
We offer optional features that connect to YouTube API Services (“YouTube Integrations”). When you click “Connect with Google” and grant permissions, we access data strictly as described below.
A. Types of YouTube data we may access (depending on scopes you approve)
-
Account/channel metadata: channel ID, title, handle, thumbnails, and basic profile information.
-
Content metadata: video/stream IDs, titles, thumbnails, categories, scheduled start times, durations, and public statistics.
-
Live features (if you opt in): live stream status and, where authorised, live chat messages for on‑screen alerts, moderation cues, or automations you configure.
-
Analytics (if you opt in): aggregate metrics exposed by the YouTube APIs that your consent permits.
Exact data depends on the scopes you approve during Google’s OAuth consent. We do not access private YouTube data unless you explicitly grant the corresponding scope.
B. How we use YouTube data
-
To display channel/video/live information inside our dashboards.
-
To trigger streamer.bot automations you configure (e.g., alerts, overlays, counters, chat reactions).
-
To measure performance of your overlays/automations and improve reliability.
C. How data flows to streamer.bot
-
Our Services may emit events (e.g., via local network or secure webhooks) that contain the minimum necessary YouTube‑derived metadata to trigger your automations.
-
We do not share your Google OAuth tokens with streamer.bot. Tokens are used only by our servers/services to call YouTube API Services on your behalf, as needed.
D. Limited Use & human access
We comply with Google API Services User Data Policy including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:
-
We only use YouTube data to provide or improve user‑facing features in your signed‑in experience.

If we transfer your information outside the UK/EEA, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and/or UK International Data Transfer Addendum, and additional measures where necessary.

Segregated environments, vulnerability management, and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure; please use unique, strong passwords and keep them confidential.
11) Your rights (UK/EEA)
